Laurie Concannon's profile

British-born Subject

The brief for this project requested the submission of a typographic piece of work which represents the theme of ‘Milestones’.

'British-born Subject' was an unsuccessful applicant in the ISTD Student Assessment. The presented publication acted as an archive to the life of my great grandfather and the small part he played in the Irish War of Independence.

The intention of this execution was to pay tribute to the life of my great grandfather and also the lives of the thousands of others that took part in the war. Since the 100-year anniversary of the 1916 rising is approaching I felt that this subject was fitting in communicating the theme of the brief.
